Morgaine Lee

Before I tell you a little bit about myself I would like to acknowledge that the land on which I live, work, and play is the unceded Indigenous land belonging to Coast Salish peoples including Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh, Tsleil-Waututh, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo Nations. Unceded means that this land was never surrendered, relinquished or handed over in any way.

Hi there! I'm Morgaine and I like to make things and tell stories. Stories manifest in a variety of different ways for me in the work I do. I've been making films for many years, and more recently combining filmmaking with anthropology — my two favourite storytelling practices. I have an Honours B.A. in Anthropology from Simon Fraser University and plan to continue my schooling after a little time off to live a little life.

In a creative sort of way, my experience teaching yoga and practicing tea ceremony (gong fu cha) also incorporate my love of stories. Keep your eyes out for some online yoga and tea courses coming to my site soon!

I live in Vancouver, BC with my sweet and cute-as-a-button cat, Ellie.
