Before I tell you a little bit about myself I would like to acknowledge that the land on which I live, work, and play is the unceded Indigenous land belonging to Coast Salish peoples including Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh, Tsleil-Waututh, Kwikwetlem, Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo Nations. Unceded means that this land was never surrendered, relinquished or handed over in any way.
Hi there! I'm Morgaine and I like to make things and tell stories. Stories manifest in a variety of different ways for me in the work I do. I've been making films for many years, and more recently combining filmmaking with anthropology — my two favourite storytelling practices. I have an Honours B.A. in Anthropology from Simon Fraser University and plan to continue my schooling after a little time off to live a little life.
In a creative sort of way, my experience teaching yoga and practicing tea ceremony (gong fu cha) also incorporate my love of stories. I teach yoga classes and workshops, virtually for the time-being, and more info is available under the yoga section.
I live in Vancouver, BC with my sweet and cute-as-a-button cat, Ellie.
